After all, the best way to learn about writing is to read! For those of you who want to write non-fiction articles, there is a world of information and examples in those glossy pages. No need to look further than the magazine rack in your nearest Barnes and Noble! Begin with magazines that most closely fit your area of expertise. For example, if you are a mom, you might check out the parenting magazines, since you have lots of experience in that area. Or if you are dabbling in watercolour painting, look for painting or art magazines. It isn’t hard to find printed information on nearly any topic. Many different sources were used for this article. Probably the most useful resource writer’s will find when looking through the various publications is writer’s magazines. Although it’s a wise idea to have one or two subscriptions to these, you can scout the best ones on the magazine rack before committing to one. It’s vital to have a connection to the writing community and even if you can’t afford to be buying every hot, new magazine on the magazine rack, you can certainly browse and in some large, chain bookstores, even sit down and read from cover to cover ordinarily that would be my conclusion, too, but. Whether you are a beginning writer or a long time wordsmith you can find many publications that will aid in your craft on the magazine rack.
