panic room the next step

panic room as everyone knows

09/18/2006

A panic room is really not all that necessary for many people. You could have a panic room, or safe room as they are sometimes called, installed in your house and go through your whole life without ever really needing to use it. Still, you never know when it might come in handy, and if it does, you will be glad to have it. If things go bad for you, you will find it to be every bit worth the expense.

This article was written to answer many of the most frequently asked questions on this topic. I hope you find all of this information helpful.

A panic room is basically a hidden room, usually somewhere in the basement, in the attic, or underneath the floor boards of your house. It can be, of course, used for storage, or perhaps for crafts that are messy and unsightly, and take up a lot of space, but the real usage of a panic room is for, well, emergencies. There is a long history of panic rooms, in almost every culture on earth. They were used in the underground railroad to help to smuggle runaway slaves, and during the second world war to help Jews escape from the Nazis. They can be used by you in many circumstances, some of them every bit as likely than a fascist regime taking over modern day America put another way.

For example, a panic room can come in handy in case of a break in of some kind. If your family is burglarized, your possessions are of secondary importance, to say the least. The most crucial thing is to make sure that everyone makes it through it all safe and secure. A panic room is an excellent way to ensure this. It will never be spotted by even the most thorough burglar, and so you can safely hide out in it until the danger is gone. In addition, your panic room can be equipped with a burglar alarm, or phone service, so that you can silently alert the police to the danger while you are hiding in there. The crooks will be arrested, and you will be able to hide out, safe and secure, the whole time in similar fashion.

To make your panic room an effective emergency tool, some simple rules must be followed. It is important that it is not just used as another room to hang out in. Its location should be kept secret, and it should only be used in the most dire of emergencies. In addition, make sure to stock your panic room with several days of food and water, just in case for one thing.
