What are you cleaning your floors with? Does your current vacuum cleaner actually do a good job? Or would you really know the difference since you've had the same one for the past decade? Vacuum cleaners can be a tricky subject if you're not a professional. And let's face it; most of us are not. In fact, it wasn't until a few years back that I actually knew how most vacuum cleaners worked. You see, underneath the base, you have a beater brush. That's the device that spins on your carpet. You've probably assumed that it scoops up hair and dirt. That would be correct. However, did you know that it vibrates relentlessly, beating the carpet below? This in turn stirs up all the dirt and dust, then it gets sucked up into the machine. Sound good? Anyway, you certainly want a vacuum cleaner that does this effectively. This is why you have to compare vacuums before actually buying.

Thanks for visiting and finding my article. What follows is information that I have pulled together from many different sources. I hope you find it both interesting and helpful.

Now, it can be rather tricky comparing vacuum cleaners that you don't literally have in your possession. However, this is what the World-Wide-Web is for. If you hop online, you will notice that a variety of past vacuum cleaner owners have rated the products. You can get the run down regarding the life span, effectiveness, and price of vacuum cleaners. Just last year I went shopping for a new vacuum cleaner. My first thought was to get online and compare vacuums. Afterwards I headed on over to Best Buy to have a closer look at the competitors. Finally my wife and I decided on a Dyson Animal. This has proved to be a great vacuum cleaner I must say. So far it has ran well, cleaned great, and remained tough. That's what I want from a vacuum cleaner. When I initially browsed the web to compare vacuums, I noticed that Dyson was rated rather well. This of course caught my attention furthermore.

Have you ever had the Kirby guy stop by your house to compare vacuums? That's basically what he does. He wants to show you why your vacuum cleaner sucks. Or, more accurately, doesn't suck. While I enjoyed the spiel the first time around, the second visit got a little redundant. No offense to these guys, but I don't want to fork out thousands on a vacuum cleaner. If you truly want to compare vacuums, the best place to do it is cyberspace. You can browse at will, and without a cheesy salesman chewing your ear off first of all.

We have come to the end of my informational article. It's now your job to take this information and do something with it. Good luck and thanks for visiting.

MLB: Franchise Players at Each Position
Recently I was approached by Bleacher Report about taking part in a mock franchise draft. The gist was that we simulate a 30-team draft, and each pick is for an MLB player you would want to start a franchise with. I thought the idea was great, and kudos to Eli Marger for coming up with it. While thinking of who to pick, I started to sift through who I thought was tops at each position. And so, I ...
