I'm not talking about a somewhat small bathroom, I'm talking extra small. However, the price was excellent and I figured I could live with it for a few years until we could afford to move into something larger. My mother commented on our bathroom, calling it "cozy". I didn't agree in the least. I was determined to make the best of my small bathroom despite the odds that were against me. I knew that I could find some better decorating tips for a small bathroom that may make it appear to be larger than what it really is have you ever thought about it that way?. The first task I assigned to myself was repainting it. The former residents had painted it a darker shade of green, making it dreary and appearing even smaller. I turned it into a light lavender color with an equally light floral shower curtain. I also added a larger wall mirror so that it would reflect more of the light and paint in the room. Mirrors always manage to make a smaller room appear to be larger than what they actually are. I needed to do that for my small bathroom, and it worked somewhat. Next, I organized as best as possible. Not only did we have a small bathroom, but a very small linen closet. I put the trash can under the sink so that it was hidden out of sight, allowing the floors to not be as cluttered. I also didn't hang all of my usual decorative towels that I usually hung on the racks. I only put out what was necessary don't worry, though. we're going to cover. My husband didn't complain about the small bathroom at first, it must have just been something that bothered me. As time went on, I grew more accustomed to it than he did. His patience started to wear thin. While we were potty training, our daughter would run into the bathroom anytime and if he was at the sink shaving or brushing his teeth, he would have to move. He didn't mind that she was in there, he simply hated the he was forced to move because of the small bathroom. While I think that the minor cosmetic changes that I implemented did make the small bathroom appear to be larger, I am definitely looking forward to our next house.
