First blot out the stain and then rinse the stain and all the solution out of the carpet with tap water from a spray bottle. Tougher solutions like hydrogen peroxide can be used to moisten the stained area before blotting the first step. While cleaning your carpets on your own can be rigorous and troubling, it will save you money! Most professional carpet cleaners charge by the hour and don’t mind taking their time to get those tough stains on carpets out.
